Established in 1911 by Sam Alper, the Alper family has been running Alper's Hardware ever. Now in our 4th generation (with as assist from the the 5th!), we pride ourselves on blending the best of an old fashioned hardware store with the latest in product selection and ways to shop.  That means great service, great selection and the flexibility to meet your needs.

Located on Alper's Corner (aka the corner of Main St. and Irma Ave) in Port Washington, NY, you can shop seven days a week at our two, side-by-side buildings.  Our main building holds most of our departments including Lawn & Garden, Outdoor Living, Housewares, Electrical, Plumbing, Hardware, Tools and more.   Next door, our paint annex is home to our Benjamin Moore Paint store.  You can also shop us 24/7 here, at alpershardware.com.
